Bagging the Robot

Our amazing Robotics Team, The Da Vinci Coders, have "bagged" their robot.  Bagging the robot means it is has been completed and travel. Their first competition in in a few weeks.  Good luck Team 5510!

Festival of Desserts

(AKA Sugarfest)

  • Please mark all items that contain nuts and be sure to write your English class (grade & period) on your item.
  • All contributions can be dropped off in Humanities Magnet Office (Room 108) on the morning of the Festival of Desserts (Thurs. 12/6/18)
Humanities Magnet Tour Dates

Our last tour for the year will be held on Wednesday, November 7 from 10:30AM - 12:00PM.  No need to RSVP.  Please arrive early to allow for time to find parking.  Thank you.


  • Apply online through the LAUSD Unified Enrollment Application
    • Enrollment deadline is November 9
  • Our program is ability blind yet self selecting (anyone can apply that lives within LAUSD boundaries)
  • PRO TIP! Pick only programs you want to go to
    • Do not fill in additional choices just because you have the space.  
    • If you are accepted to another school you will be removed from our wait list.  
  • Acceptance is based on the Magnet Points System
    • 12 points for matriculation - graduating from one magnet and moving onto another
    • 4-12 points for waitlist - 4 points for being rejected for each year within the last 3 years
    • 4 points if residential/neighborhood school that is PHBAO - Predominately Hispanic, Black, Asian or other non-White
    • 4 points for residential/neighborhood that is overcrowded
    • 3 points if a sibling is already in Humanities
