The City of Los Angeles is offering high school juniors (Class of 2019) and seniors (Class of 2018) who are interested in the sciences with a great opportunity to participate in a six week paid summer internship!  Selected students will participate in the Summer Introduction to Engineering and Science Program (SITES) with the Department of Public Works Bureau of Sanitation from June 19, 2017 through July 28, 2017. Attached is the flyer with the program requirements.

This program includes training sessions, workshops, and educational field trips.  Students will have the opportunity to gain work experience and may explore careers in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Science.

The deadline for all applications is April 24, 2017.  The earlier the application is submitted, the better the chances of being admitted into the program!
