The UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture is very pleased to announce the second year of
FORM Academy - a multidisciplinary summer arts program for 25 high school students (entering 10th
- 12th graders) from under-resourced schools in Los Angeles County. We are looking for participants
who are imaginative, energetic and curious; interested in exploring the arts and creativity in an inter-disciplinary format; and who want to experience what life might be like on a university campus.
This summer, FORM Academy will be offered from August 1 through August 12. This is a FREE nine-day studio arts program including a public presentation on Saturday, August 12 for friends and families. Working with graduate mentors and UCLA faculty, FORM students will explore a range of art media such as video, painting, architecture, electronic arts and more - as well as participate in museum and campus tours, career discussions for fields in the arts, and an overnight stay in the dorms.
In addition to free tuition and the overnight stay in the dorms, all art supplies, instructional materials, lunches and snacks are provided throughout the program - but transportation to campus is not. Each selected student must be able to provide his/her own transportation to and from campus for the duration of the program.
Applications will be accepted from May 10, 2017 through May 25, 2017 via email or mail.
