Harvey Mudd Women's Intro to STEM

Harvey Mudd College presents the Women's Introduction to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (WISTEM) program on February 23-25, 2017 for current female juniors. 


WISTEM includes a two-night stay on campus as well as a nine-month online engagement, Students are required to participate in both components of the program. The campus visit will teach participants the benefits of pursuing a technical degree at a liberal arts college while exploring life at a residential college. This part of the program will include a stay in the residence halls, class visits, lab tours, hands-on STEM workshops, and more! The online component will feature monthly webinars with women STEM professionals and Harvey Mudd admission and financial aid officers. Students will also complete online math and computer sciences courses, to supplement their preparation for college.


WISTEM is absolutely free. Students who fully participate in the residential and online components of the program will receive a letter of completion from the program director. Participants will also be eligible for a fee waiver for their HMC freshman application. 


Deadline to apply is January 20, 2017.
