Class of 2017 - Future L.A. Community College District Students

The Los Angeles College Promise will increase the number of community college graduates, university transfer and workforce-ready students throughout our region. It is a partnership between Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), City of Los Angeles, LA Chamber of Commerce, UNITE LA and private philanthropy.

Through LA Promise, the LAUSD class of 2017 can receive free tuition for the first year and other additional benefits including participation in a Summer Bridge program; assistance completing financial aid forms; priority registration for classes (move to the front of the line); success coaching and tutoring; and a structured class schedule.

To qualify:

  • The student must be a 2017 graduate of an LAUSD regular or charter school
  • The student must complete a FAFSA and/or BOG Fee Wavier application
  • The student must attend full time (12 to 15 units)
