UCLA Afterschool Programs

Free UCLA  Study Hall 

Monday through Thursday 3:00 P.M. - 6 P.M. in the Cafeteria and Friday 3:00pm-5:00pm. 

Come to Quiet Study Hall for a more serious study space. No talking and superb tutoring!

 

College Corner

Come to College Corner for information about college admissions, SATs, and advice on personal statements. Anything you want to know about college, you can ask!

 

 

Leadership

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday — Room 502

Leadership Institute is an organization where students learn and implement leadership skills such as event planning, team work, and group management by working in the various aspects of the program, which include Community Service, Arts, Cyber Patriots, Matriculation, and Civic Organized Campaigns. Students also use their leadership skills to improve their school and community. General meetings are at 3:15 pm on Wednesdays.

 

Blue & Gold Scholars

Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-6:00pm in the Cafeteria

Blue and Gold Scholars are juried student volunteers who will serve as junior staff, providing tutoring support to their peers. They will also attend work readiness and professional development workshops. Perks of joining include community service hours, stellar recommendation letters, a bi-annual reception for students and parents.

 

Khan Academy

Monday & Wednesday, 3:30pm-4:30pm in Room 302

 

Art of Stepping

Tuesdays, 3pm-5:30pm in Room A-1

An interactive program for youth that teaches stepping through mathematical formulas.  Stepping is a form of dance that uses the body as an instrument to produce rhythms and sounds through hand claps, spoken word and footsteps. Please drop by room 504 for more information on registering for the class.

 

EL ACCESS Program

Monday- Friday 3:15pm-5:30pm in Room 118

A program for English Leaners aimed at providing leadeship opportunities and language development.

 

 

Team Prime Time

Mondays, 3:15pm-4:20pm on the basketball courts

The Varsity Games creates full-incluison teams by pairing youth and  students with special needs from the same high school.  These blended teams compete against one another in the only league of its kind, giving children with developmental challenges the only real opporutnity to participate in a mainstream high school sports experience.

 

Teen Lounge

Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-6:00pm in South Hall

Come hang out with our UCLA after school staff and play ping pong, Wii and join in on other fun activities!
